When I first started the Lace Meadow Tee, I envisioned it turning into something entirely different. I set it aside for a while to finish other projects. When I picked it up again, I needed a break from another project that wasn’t progressing as I’d hoped. The second time I worked on the Lace Meadow Tee, it practically flew off my hook. Seeking simplicity, I decided to make it a T-shirt without overcomplicating things. However, this design had its ups and downs. Looking back through my camera roll, I see that I started working on this design in March, and now it’s almost the end of June! Originally, this project began as a dress. I dreamt of creating a shirt-dress in black, but my first attempt wasn’t successful. I started with a top-down, saddle sleeve construction, but I wasn’t happy with the fit.
