Hello, my dear friends! In this post, I want to talk about a new Knitting Needles Set that KnitPro.eu sent me to test out!

I think this is the first Product Review Post that I am writing, but it is good to share my opinion about different products that I am using or trying.

I know that my website is more about crochet content and not that much about knitting, and this is because I am not a faster knitter nor experienced.

I prefer to keep this craft as something other than what I am doing most of the time, crochet.

I have to tell you that knitting helps me a lot when I need to take a break from crochet, and it is something that I will recommend if you are like me and can not keep your hands away from yarn, even when you need a break.

First of all, this Self Love knitting needles set is gorgeous! It is! The package is excellent and looks like a book, where you will find everything you will need, with each “chapter” to write your own story.

What you will find in this set:

  • Interchangeable Needle Sizes 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, 5.0, 5.5, 6.0, 7.0 & 8.0mm with matt black connectors.
  • 4 memory-free, stainless-steel cables in length of 60, 80 (2 nos.) & 100cm, 4 end caps; 4 ellen keys; one set of cable connectors
  • 1 Crocheted bookmark
  • 1 Knitting Journal

Right away, after I got this set in the mailbox, I was so eager to start writing my own story. I took the knitting journal (which has sections where you can take notes about your project, plus a chart paper to draw your project idea), and I sketched a sweater. A sweater that I want to make for my dad for his birthday! This year will be the first year after so many, that I can visit my dad on his birthday and I am glad about it!

I know that the most used knitting needles are the metal ones, and working with bamboo needles might not be a good experience, but I was impressed by these! The stitches were sliding perfectly without feeling any hindrance.

The ellen keys are quite a good thing because you can use them to secure the needle with the cable. Still, I might force it too much because the needle connector became loose, which is not a good thing, and I recommend not to do that if you still want to be able to use all the needle sizes. 🙂

In other news, for me, this Self Love Set is everything I need to continue my knitting Journey, and I am sure that for many of you will be!  Plus, it can be a true sign of love if you choose to gift it to your favorite Knitter!

  1. Not much of a review. Reflected by the fact that you rarely knit, there’s not much usable information. Plus Knitpro doesn’t make bamboo needles. They’re either metal or birch.

I think this self love knitting set of needles sounds like it would be worth checking out.

  3. Hmm, the comment says “the most used knitting needles are metal” this is not true. Over the past 20+ years, following much research, needle composition has moved away from metal. Research found that the lack of “give” in metal caused hand/wrist problems, e.g. RSI, trigger finger/thumb and carpel tunnel problems. Obviously some people still use metal needles, but the majority, in UK, US and many other countries, now use wood, bamboo even milk protein needles. The previous commentor mentioned laminated birch that’s my go to (Rolls Royce!) knitpro symfonie. Try them, knitting will take on a whole new meaning.

I agree! I have the symfonie set and I am so happy with it! The metal ones ai use them when working with thick yarn because I found the stitches sliding easier!
      Thank you!
