I always try to find special stitches, with a great look that will make your projects so special. This week we will learn to make a version of “bubble stitch”. There are many stitches with a similar texture but this one is so easy to make and you will love it.
Abbreviations used in this pattern:
- Ch – chain
- Sc – single crochet
- Dc – double crochet
To begin, chain a multiple of 4 + 2 stitches.
1 sc in the 2nd stitch, *ch 3, skip 3, 1 sc in the next stitch. Repeat from * to the end of the row. Ch 1 and turn.
1 sc in the first sc from previous row, ch 1, 7 dc in the same stitch. Move forward to the next sc from the previous row and repeat: [1 sc, ch 1, 7 dc] in the same stitch. Repeat the section inside [ ] in each sc from the previous row, except the last one. In the last sc make 1 sc. Ch 1 and turn.
If you want to use more than 1 color at the beginning of row 3 change it, make the ch 1 with the second color and turn.
1 sc in the first sc from the previous row, *ch 3 and move forward to the next ch 1 space from the previous row and make in this stitch 1 sc. Repeat from * to the end of the row ending with ch 3 and 1 sc in the last stitch. Ch 1 and turn.
Repeat row 2.
To continue, just repeat row 3 and 4 ( basically row 3 and 2).
Bellow you will find the video tutorial.
This is a beautiful stitch and if you liked the pattern save it for later.
