You will see that this one is easy too, with only 2 rows repeat. The first row is a little more difficult because involves a little more counting and might seem difficult working in foundation chain. But after completing row 1 everything become so clear.
For those of you who work more easy following a diagram, this is the one for this stitch.
Abbreviations used in this pattern:
- Ch – chain
- St(s) – stitch(es)
- Dc – double crochet
To begin, chain a multiple of 4 + 1 stitches.
Row 1
Ch 3. 1 dc in the 7th stitch from the hook. Ch 1. Go back to the skipped stitches and make 1 dc in the stitch before the one near the dc you already made (make sure you have 1 ch st between the dc of the cross). *Ch 1, skip 3 st(s), 1 dc in the next, ch 1, go back to the stitch before the one near the last dc and make 1 dc. Repeat from * to the end of the row, ending with 1 dc in the last stitch.
Row 2
Ch 3. 1 dc in the first dc, *ch 1, skip the next dc, 1 dc in the next dc, ch 1, go back to the skipped dc and make 1 dc. Repeat from * to the end of the row, ending with 2 dc, one in the last dc from the previous row and one in the 3rd stitch of the turning chain.
Row 3
Ch 3, *skip the next dc, 1 dc in the next one, ch 1, 1 dc in the skipped dc from the previous row, ch 1
Repeat from * to the end of the row, ending with 1 dc in the 3rd st of the turning chain.
Repeat rows 2 and 3 until you get to the desired length.
This is it. I am sure you will find a lot of projects to use this stitch and can wait to see some pictures.
If you find the written pattern a little difficult to follow, bellow yo will find the video tutorial.
