About the stitch pattern.

Each panel has 2 sections: first one worked in V stitch and second in double crochet. The sections are worked in one single piece.

Special Stitches

V stitch

[(1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc) in the same stitch, or ch 1 space from the previous row V stitch, ch 1]

Abbreviations used in this pattern

  • Ch – chain
  • Dc – Double Crochet
  • St(s) – stitch(es)
  • Dec – Decrease

For the second section of the panel we will decrease only in one side. This means that we will do a decrease at the beginning of the row and on the turning row, one decrease at the end of the row.

Decrease beginning

Ch 3, skip the next st, 1 dc in next.

Decrease end

Dc2tog wide (skip one st between dc’s)

When you have 3 sts left, yarn over, insert the hook in the next st , pull out a loop, yarn over and pull the yarn through 2 loops. Keep 2 loops on your hook.  Skip the next st and in the last st yarn over, insert the hook, yarn over and pull trough 2 loops. You have now 3 loops on your hook. Yarn over and pull the yarn through all loops on your hook

Gauge

  • 13 dc – 10 cm (4”)
  • 5 V sts – 10 cm (4”)
  • 8 rows – 10 cm (4”) (in dc or V st)

Pattern Notes

Ch 3 at the beginning of the row, counts as first dc.

Front Panel (repeat the same pattern for the back panel)

Start with the foundation ch.

  • S – 100 sts
  • M – 100 sts
  • L – 100 sts
  • XL – 100 sts
  • XXL – 100 sts

For all sizes

Row 1

Ch 4 more, and starting with 6th st, 1 V st in next (1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc), [ch 1, skip 3 sts, 1 V st in next]. Repeat the section between [ ] to the end of the row. Finish the row with ch 1, skip next st, 1 dc in the last one. Ch 4 and turn.

Row 2

[1 V st, in the next ch 1 space from the previous row V st, ch 1]. Repeat to the end of the row. Finish the row with ch 1 and 1 dc in the 3rd st of the turning chain. Ch 4 and turn.

Next, repeat row 2, until you have in total:

  • S – 24 rows
  • M – 25 rows
  • L – 26 rows
  • XL – 27 rows
  • XXL – 27 rows

First section of the panel is done.

We will continue with the second section. Start working from where your yarn is.

Row 1

Ch 3, 1 dc in the next st, 1 dc in each st to the end of the row. Finish the row with 1 dc in the 3rd st of the turning chain.

Row 2

1 Dec (ch 3, skip the next st, 1 dc in next). Continue with 1 dc in each st to the end of the row. Finish the row with 1 dc in the 3rd st of the turning chain. Ch 3 and turn.

Row 3

1 dc in each st until you have 3 sts left (don’t count the ch 3 made at the beginning of the previous row). In the last 3 sts, 1 dec end (dc2tog wide).

Next, repeat rows 2 and 3 until you have in total for the second section (rows in dc)

  • S – 36 rows
  • M – 37 rows
  • L – 38 rows
  • XL – 40 rows
  • XXL – 41 rows

After finishing the second section you will have left:

  • S – 30 sts
  • M – 28 sts
  • L – 26 sts
  • XL – 22 sts
  • XXL – 20 sts

Now one panel is done and you will have to repeat the same pattern for the second panel.

Assembling

After finishing both panels is time for assembling. Place both panel one over the other.

Follow the diagram below and sew the indicated sections.

Be glam Blouse Assembling

Notes on Assembling

If you thing that the neck line is to wide, you can sew a few side rows from the first section as well.

For the left cuff (the one in double crochet), let 20 sts and sew the rest, along with 4 side rows from the hem.

For size XXL, because we made more rows for the second section, we decreased with more sts and you will have to sew only on the hem, unless you want smaller cuffs.

For the right cuff, let 12 V sts, side rows and sew the rest, along with 4 side rows from the hem.

To finish

After finishing the assembling part, you can add an edging on the open parts, neck line, cuffs, hem.

Wave in all ends and done!
